TTU-205 Precision Volume Tank

The TTU-205 Precision Volume Tank (PVT) is used for functional, operational and accuracy testing of the TTU-205 Pressure Temperature Test Sets. The PVT provides calibration laboratories and repair activities the ability to perform proper Altitude and Airspeed Rate testing. The PVT is designed to directly emulate Aircraft Pitot Static system volumes. To ensure that the test set can adequately evacuate or pressurize these systems, it becomes necessary to simulate the volume conditions while checking the accuracy of its rate of climb or descent. Many Military and Commercial Aircraft have large volume requirements due to their particular mission environments. Testing with these size volumes can become an issue for some test sets, which is why it is imperative to perform additional testing with volumes.

Use of the PVT provides the confidence that the test set, and more importantly the internal pump, can perform the volume capabilities of the aircraft or unit under test. The PVT consists of three separate chambers with volumes for simulation of 100, 160 and 250 cubic inch loads. The volumes are welded together and rest on duty brackets with rubber feet. Each Tank is equipped with pneumatic fittings: 37° AN4 (for 100 and 160 cu.in. volumes) and 37° AN6 (for 250 cu.in volume).

The optional Volume Tank Hose Set P/N: TVCS-6000-3-1 and NSN: 4920-01-662-7644 , is available separately for use with TTU-205, ADTS-3300, ADTS-3350, ADTS-3150, ADTS 405F, ADTS 415F as well as all other manufacturers test sets. It includes one (1) 8 ft Pitot and one (1) 8 ft Static hose with respective color coded red and blue quick disconnects.
