TestVonics Line Switching Unit (LSU) is a multi-port distribution unit which can isolate up to eight (8) outputs from two inputs. Each output can be operated manually from the front panel. The LSU-1000 is programmable for remote operation using the RS-232 interface.

Most traditional air data test systems provide a single output, manually-operated pitot and static connection. Using a single port, pitot-static tester to carry out these procedures is time consuming.

TestVonics offers an automatic system making test procedures and functional testing easier and more convenient with the LSU-1000 Line Switching Unit. The LSU-1000 is a rack-mounted or benchtop, multi-port unit for the distribution of two channels of Pitot and Static inputs to up to 8 outputs. Each output can be activated manually from the front panel or through a remote interface.

The LSU-1000 distributes pitot and static supplies for the external services through the output connectors. Located on the rear panel, two input connectors provide for the controlled pitot and static inputs. The standard configuration provides four switched Pitot (Pt) and four switched Static (Ps). There is also a set of pass-through ports that can be used to route hoses from the front of the unit to the rear panel (or vice versa) for access when mounting into a rack enclosure.

The unit utilizes electronically operated solenoid valves for reliable opening and closing of each output. The ports can be manually controlled through the momentary front panel switches, which feature LED’s to indicate when the port is active. The unit can also be easily controlled using standard RS232 SCPI communications interface. Each output can be isolated for automated testing without operators having to connect / disconnect hoses for testing.

The Pitot connections utilize industry standard male 37-degree AN4 7/16”-20 threaded bulkheads. The Static connections utilize male 37-degree AN6 9/16”-20 threaded bulkheads. Quick release fittings are available as an option.

The LSU-1000 is a 19-inch 4U (7.0” high) benchtop or rack-mountable unit. It is ideal for use in ATE systems along with and air data calibrator or test set. The unit operates from standard AC power 85-265 V 50/60Hz.
